Porsche GT3 Style Bolted Caliper Pin Set For 996, 986

The problem 

The 996 911 Carerra and 986 Boxster Brembo front calipers have been proven to be a tough, reliable and capable brake for high performance street and track applications. With heavy track use however, they will show their Achilles heel. The problem is the pad retaining pin. With hard use retaining pins can rattle loose and sheer the wimpy safety (cotter) pin, resulting in ultimate failure. In daily driver applications the interference fit of the factory pin can become corroded and leave the pad retaining pin completely seized. 

The solution 

The Bolted Caliper Pin takes inspiration from Porsches own Gt3 cars! Machined from 4140 mild steel, these pins can take a beating from the toughest conditions. The M8 locknut keeps the pads where they need to be while allowing minimal rotation to decrease corrosion build-up and seizure.
